Chilewich (USA)

Chilewich products are developed in a design studio in New York, manufactured in the United States, and used in residential and commercial spaces around the world. Led by Creative Director Sandy Cilevic, the design team includes master weavers who develop and refine innovative patterns and colors for the collections, which are updated each season.

Chilewich presents two products: place mats for serving and floor mats. We have been cooperating with the CHILEWICH brand for a long time and use these products ourselves - so we were able to see for ourselves - they retain their relevance, beauty and functionality for decades, even with daily use.

They are made by weaving high-tech TerraStrand vinyl filaments onto a rubber backing, then welded to a strong, slip-resistant vinyl plate, eliminating the need for a carpet underlay.

Chilewich table mats.

Chilewich table mats have long become a symbol of impeccable service. But apart from fashionable and modern design, what else distinguishes it from many competitors and cheap fakes? Antimicrobial protection (Microban) is built into all threads of Chilewich products at the polymer level. Microban technology gives Chilewich products an extra layer of protection against stain and odor-causing bacteria, mold and mildew. Antimicrobial protection not only reduces the risk of premature product spoilage, but also makes our products easier to clean and keeps them cleaner and fresher between cleanings.

Chilewich products have always been known for their ease of care, but did you know they can also be cleaned with bleach and alcohol disinfectant?

Here are the main questions and answers.

Can I sanitize/sanitize my Chilewich products? So. For all woven products (except printed designs) and all tufted (step) rugs: A 50:1 water/bleach solution left on the surface for at least one minute will thoroughly clean and disinfect the material. If desired, you can use a stronger solution. For all printed, metallic and pressed rugs (including Glow, Lace and John Derian + Chilewich): use hydrogen peroxide.

Is there a way to sanitize/sanitize my Chilewich fabric or tufted (step) products without bleach? So. Instead of bleach, you can use hydrogen peroxide.

Are Chilewich products antimicrobial? So.

I have had Chilewich for over 10 years. Is it still antimicrobial? So. Because it is integrated into the yarn, rather than applied as a surface treatment, the antimicrobial protection works continuously throughout the life of the product.
